In todays current market being able to advertise yourself properly as a small business has become more important than ever. Social media plays a key hand in that because it spreads brand awareness in a cheap way and is the next logical step to expansion. It also is the best way to reach millennials. If you want to reach younger generations and speak their language look no further than Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. These platforms are the current gold standard. But, as is the case with these platforms there’s often a lot of turnover in terms of which platform will become the most popular and give its users the most return on investment. In order to stay on the cutting edge you have to be willing to invest time and effort into new platforms that show promise.

If you couldn’t tell that’s what Red Summit Productions is trying to do with this blog post. We recognize that Medium is probably going to become the gold standard in blogging platforms so we decided to jump on the boat and establish a presence. As a small business the best way to establish a base is to tell a story and give the viewer/reader a reason to relate to you. We already have followings on our Instagram and Facebook pages, but thought we could expand and continue to tell our story through a blog as well. This is our first venture into longer form original content so please give us your feedback on future blogs and what you think we could do to improve it. We look forward to seeing where this new project takes us!
